Jackie said, "It's an incredible stadium and it's a great feeling to win and beat the world record... I was 17 then when I was amputated, I didn't know anything about handicapped sport.I have never ever think about it... In 1997, I was in a sporting camp of the Danish Handicapped Federation, I beat the Danish record in shot put. I thought as I couldn't playing football, now I want to see how good I can play with shot put, so I tried as much as I can."
EG Gregersen said, "Jackie's best achievement is he has won the Paralympic golds twice, he won the Worlds' Championship two times, and the EU championships two times. He has not lost any competition since 2002."
Jackie said, "Sometimes it's difficult to train for the handicapped, but you can find some other ways to train that benefit you and others, so I'm training as much as I can as normal ones, but if something I can't do, just do some other things."
His coach EG Gregersen added, "The most important thing about Jackie is his mental power, even though he has a full day of work and a family of two kids, he still come to training, and training very very hard."
Marie Christiansen, Jackie's wife, said, "I support him because he can concentrate on sports, he always find new goals. I love him as he is a man with many good qualities. I think he wants to show the world he can do it, and I think he wants to show that the envelop can be pushed all the time."
