The Beijing Paralympic Games has attracted more journalists and broadcast networks than any previous Games. And foreign journalists in Beijing have been full of praise for the efforts made by the organizing committee.
"Two Games of equal splendour" was the promise of the Beijing Paralympic Organizing Committee. And they've kept true to their word. A recent report from Reuters even called the Beijing Paralympic Games "the second Olympic Games".
A journalist from the United States described the games in glowing terms.
US journalist said "100%, absolutely. It is the best games. And they really are equal."
A British journalist said this is the fifth time he's covered the Paralympics. He's been most impressed by the low ticket prices and the cheering squads at the venues.
Raymond Charles, British journalist said "Yesterday, for example, I was at the China and America sitting volleyball game, and the stadium was almost full. Certainly from the noise you could hear, it sounded like it was full."
The smiles of the volunteers have also left a deep impression on the world's journalists. They said the volunteers never seem tired or bored, and they're always in a good mood and ready to help.
Over 6000 journalists from China and abroad have been covering the Paralympics. And journalists in Beijing have even outnumbered the athletes.
