The Ministry of Health ordered further research and large-scale medical treatment. Hospitals and clinics across the country must set up a system for treating the babies. Teams of experts will be dispatched to the remote and rural areas.
The head of the team charged with handling the case, Gao Qiang, went to hospitals to visit the babies and their parents.
