The double-decker sightseeing buses have larger and more comfortable seats than common buses. While the big windows offer wonderful views of scenic spots.
The Beijing Public Transportation Group says it will launch five sightseeing routes catering to demands over the National Day Holiday. The five lines will take visitors through the city's many tourist attractions, including downtown Beijing as well as key Olympic venues. A total of 150 buses will be put into service during the period.
Each bus has a conductor on board, who will explain the unique characteristics and design concepts of major scenic spots.
One conductor said " The first scenic spot we will introduce today is the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. It's located at Fucheng Road. "
The Beijing Public Transportation Group says a one-way trip for the sightseeing bus costs just 3 yuan. And by spending just a few yuan, passengers can experience the delights, both old and new, of China's capital.
