His fears mounted in the second as he soon swallowed a 13-21 defeat. But Bao came back in the decisive game. He utilized fast moves as well as fierce attacks to win the game, and with it, the match.

Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia faced Muhammad Hafiz Hashim of Malaysia on day one. It was one-all after two games and the score then was drawn to 19-all in the third.

Having match point at hand, Hariz thought this ball was out of line and began to cerebrate. But the referee called a score for Taufik. The Athens Olympic champion didn't waste the chance,and won the game 22-20.
