The Chinese President stressed that the two countries should work hard to implement the trade and economic cooperation agreements signed between them. He also encouraged the two sides to open new fields and find new approaches in cooperation, to provide further benefit for the people of both nations.
Hu Jintao added that cultural exchange is a significant way to promote friendship. He wished that China and Pakistan would expand communication in fields such as culture, education and publication. He highlighted the importance of cementing exchanges between young people of the two countries.
For his part, Zardari thanked the Chinese government and people for their support and assistance to Pakistan's economic construction. He said that Pakistan hopes to further enhance bilateral cooperation in all ways with emphasis on infrastructure, transportation, environmental protection and finance.
Zardari reiterated his government's adherence to the One China policy.
Following the talks, the two Presidents witnessed the signing of a series of cooperative agreements.
