People in Dongying in Shandong province woke up on Monday morning to find dense fog over the city.

Tianjin in North China and Liaoning province in northeast China also experienced heavy fog on Monday.

Meteorologists say the north of the country will see a sharp drop in temperatures of some ten degrees Celsius in the following two days.
