Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain now face the verdict of voters- who streamed to the ballot boxes across the U.S.

At least 130 million Americans are expected to cast votes Tuesday with Obama holding a decisive edge in national opinion polls. Turnout though is likely to influence the outcome.
