Chinese women's hockey team qualify for 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
China's women's national hockey team have beaten Japan 2-0 to advance to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. The team is ranked 8th in the world and defeated Norway, the Czech Republic, and Japan in the qualification matches.
China attacked fiercely from the very beginning. On 8:28 of the second period, China scored the first goal due to Japan's mistakes. The confident Chinese players scored the second in the third period and 2-0 was the final score.
Jin Fengling from China ice hockey team said, "We won because of our confidence, our morale and our style of attack."
Wang Linuo from China ice hockey team said, "I'm not that excited. Although we have advanced to the Olympics, we have so many things to do to prepare for the Olympics. To strengthen our backup players' ability is the most important thing."
Paul Strople, China ice hockey team head coach, said, "I'm happy because I will take them to my hometown Vancouver."
