A thin, disk-shaped traction motor is mounted on the inside of the four wheels, allowing free and independent movement so when parking the driver can simply face sideways and drive straight in.
But the show's creators say this isn't a car show and there are just over a dozen cars in a stark white color as an invitation to focus on design.
They believe that Europeans look at their cars solely as a means of transport unlike the Japanese who consider the interior of the vehicle as a living space.
Shigeru Ban, Show Creator, said, "Cars in Europe are designed as pure transportation means to go from one place to one place as quickly as possible. Instead, we just try to enjoy inside so that is the very different aspect of how car inside, also the space itself and design as a reflection of lifestyle."
