The forty-fifth Taiwan Golden Horse Awards were presented Saturday night. Chinese mainland actor Zhang Hanyu won the best actor award. Zhang Hanyu took the best acting trophy for his role in the war movie "Assembly."

The 2007 New Year film was about the heroic trials of a People's Liberation Army unit during the Chinese civil war. The man who wrote the script for the film, Liu Heng won the "Best Adapted Screenplay."
The Hong Kong produced film "The Warlords" won two awards as best film, while Peter Chan took the best director award.
Veteran Hong Kong singer Prudence Liew was named best actress. She earned the honour for her role as a struggling sex trade worker and drug addict in, "True Women for Sale."
