"Yes Man" is Jim Carrey's latest comedy, after a three-year absence in this genre. Having experienced the frosty response of movie critics for his previous thriller "The Number 23", this time Carrey pays great attention to the promotion of "Yes Man".
The Canadian braved chilly weather for the flick's London premiere.
"Yes Man" follows a guy who challenges himself to say "Yes" to everyone for an entire year. And that triggers a slew of laugher and a chain of hilarity.
"Yes Man" provides Carrey a chance to fully showcase his versatile talents ---from performing to even the courageous act of bungee jumping.
Although the release of "Yes Man" comes during the global credit crunch, it has exceeded Will Smith's "Seven Pounds" at the box office. Carrey said he wasn't much surprised by the box office return, and he's happy to be back to the genre again.
Although Carrey was absent from big screen comedies over the past three years, the circle had never been silent and still. "Tropic Thunder" by Ben Stiller, secured a niche in the market by exposing the social innuendos in a distinctively hilarious way. Scenarios from movies such as "Full Metal Jacket" and "Windtalkers" are re-interpreted in "Tropic Thunder", in a rather screwball style.
