In the northeastern coastal city of Dalian, Xinghai square, the biggest in Asia, has been decorated with colorful lights. Five lanterns made in the shape of oxen are one of the highlights.

In eastern Shandong province, the main markets have prepared for the festival. Each day, nearly 30,000 customers visit the market.
