Taiwan residents are thrilled with just a brief glimpse of these fascinating mammals. The zoo allows roughly 20,000 people to visit "Tuantuan and Yuanyuan" each day. If you arrive after midday you will have missed your chance, and will most likely have to wait for another day. Some visitors get up very early for the chance to see the furry pair.
A panda visitor said, "We're very happy that we came here first."
"I didn't sleep at all last night."
The pandas are not yet used to the enthusiasm of the visitors. They seem especially annoyed by the flash of cameras.
