The owner Peter Ilic said, "I'm giving a chance for customers to decide to make it even cheaper if they like, or better value, if they can't afford, especially bankers who have lost their jobs."
Only charging customers for drinks, Ilic whose restaurant is known for its bistro-Mediterranean cuisine said generally people have not abused the deal but paid more than the set price for their meal.
Peter Ilic said, "One table I experienced yesterday they paid two penny for two steaks and two glasses of water. But that is very rare, in general the three days that we have been operating people have paid more than our prices."
