The Organizing Committee for the 2009 East Asian Games in Hong Kong says the opening ceremony will be held in Victoria Harbor.

The committee also revealed the progress they had made, as well as the first draft of plans for the opening ceremony. Key members of the team behind the ceremony have also worked at the Beijing Olympics. A stage will be built on the water and there will also be boat performances in the harbor. The Games are set to open on December 5th.
