The coming NPC and CPPCC sessions are attracting a lot of attention from the media. Over 3,000 journalists, both from China and overseas have registered for the sessions.
The Media Press Center is well prepared to satisfy the needs of the press. All journalists covering the sessions will be given a small device, allowing them to have wireless inter-net connection. They can use it both in the press center and the Great Hall of the People.
Meanwhile, media outlets such as China Central Television, China National Radio, China Radio International and Xinhua News Agency have set up special programs and columns. Over 800 foreign reporters, as well as about 440 journalists from the Hong Kong and Macao SAR's and Taiwan island, are registered for the political events. Reporters from around the world, including an increasing number of main-stream media outlets, are covering both of the sessions.
