China and France simultaneously issued a press communique through their foreign ministries.
According the document, France reaffirms its support for the one-China policy and will not back any form of independence for Tibet.
The two countries say they will step up efforts to improve their overall strategic partnership. And they say they will hold high-level contacts and strategic dialogue at an appropriate time.
