Let's head to Guangzhou, where the 105th session of the China Import and Export Fair opens on Wednesday.
Better known as the Canton Fair, the event is expected to boost China's foreign trade amidst a global slowdown. The fair will last until May 7th.
About 22,000 exhibitors are expected to attend the Fair. With the world still mired in financial difficulty, there's been a drop in the number of exhibitors, although the number of booths has shown a slight increase.
But last year saw the fair take a blow from uncertainty and turmoil in major global economies, turnover dipped to 31-and-a-half billion US dollars for the session in Autumn, down from 38.23 billion in Spring.
