A Chinese Folk Art exhibition opened recently in New Delhi, capital of India. Hamid Ansari, India's Vice President, has attended the free show with Zhang Yan, China's ambassador to India.

The exhibition features Chinese woodblock prints as well as straw and bamboo art. Ansari said Chinese folk art has a profound history. He said China and India are ancient civilizations and share many similarities, paving the way for cultural exchanges. Zhang Yan presented a set of door god New Year prints to Ansari as a symbol of blessings for India.
