Adjust font size:

At Thursday's press conference, Spokesman of Ministry of HR & Social Security, Yin Chengji said about 90 percent of the migrant workers, who returned to rural homes before the Spring Festival, went back to the cities to work.

Only about 7 million, or 10 percent, stayed at home by the end of the first quarter. Most of them found jobs at home. The survey shows 70 million migrant workers returned to rural homes before Spring Festival, nearly a half percent of the total pool.

Yin Chengji said, "Generally speaking, the employment situation for migrant workers is better than anticipated after Spring Festival. The employment tendency is basically stable."
