The Beichuan government organized the wedding for the couples to help more people rebuild their lives.
Jin Dazhong, Magistrate of Beichuan county, said, "It's not easy for many of these people to decide to marry again. So we helped some of them to find the right person and provided psychological consultation to ease their uncertainties. I wish them a happy marriage."
The newly-weds celebrate the occasion with their family and friends. After the feast, they will be heading to holiday paradise on Hainan island for the honeymoon. And Beichuan government will take care of the bill.
"It's hard to connect these couples with a disaster. But it is indeed last year's earthquake that brought them together. Tying the knot means so much more than marriage. It means living, and not just surviving. And sharing the occasion like this shows that love is reborn in Beichuan."
