A new product to increase the intelligence of your baby is catching the attention of celebrities in Hollywood. It's claimed the simple pictures with bold and contrasting, light and dark outlines help babies concentrate and improve their cognitive abilities at their most important developmental stage.
Placed on the wall or in a crib, this artwork transforms a child's room into a so-called“wee gallery", creating something to interest them on every possible surface.
The American company, Wee Gallery, says these animal themed wall graphics, picture cards and mobiles for hanging above the baby's cot can actually improve a baby's development.
Child psychologist, Doctor Vanessa Isetta, says a baby's first formative weeks are very important.
Child psychologist Dr. Vanessa Isetta said, "These high contrast images do help with visual stimulation since newborns can only see twelve to fifteen inches away from their face for the first few months and really can't see images clearly and visual perception only really starts about six months of age. These visual toys and cues help the baby respond to the visual stimulation in a way that best suits them."
