Olympic champion sprinter Usain Bolt of Jamaica was hurt when he crashed his BMW sports car on the outskirts of Kingston on Wednesday.
Police said the world record holder lost control of the car and plowed into a ditch. He injured his left foot when he got out of the car. Doctors treated the sprinter at a nearby hospital, and released him along with his brother and a female companion.
Bolt dropped out this weekend's Jamaica International Invitational after the accident.
