The 3 main sites of the Beijing Olympic Games -- the Birds' Nest, Water Cube, and National Indoor Stadium -- have done quite well at bringing in revenues since the Games concluded.
In just half a year since opening to the public, the National Indoor Stadium has brought in around 20 million yuan, the Water Cube saw four times that -- around 80 million yuan, and the Birds' Nest has generated a whopping 210 million. These sites are now permanent fixtures in Beijing, drawing tourists from all over the world. They also host various kinds of events including sports, culture, and business. The National Indoor Stadium is developing a leisure park covering 50,000 square meters for Olympic-themed dining and entertaining. The Water Cube is also enhancing its entertainment functions. New zones for entertainment, dining, and movie theaters will be unveiled in mid-2010.
