Through the dialogue, the two sides are expected to reach common ground against trade protectionism, and reforming the international financial system. They are also expected to increase cooperation in technology and trade.
The Vice Premier's visit to Britain and the second Sino-British Financial and Economic Dialogue are important measures for the two countries to fulfill an agreement reached at the G20 meeting in April.
Besides attending the dialogue, Vice Premier Wang Qishan will also meet with UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, as well as representatives of local enterprises and financial institutions.
