Aron Brooks, scored career-high 34 points, said, "We will never count ourselves out. If anybody is ready for this it would be us. We've been through a lot this year. Mac (Tracy McGrady) being out, Deke (Dikembe Mutombo) being out, Shane (Battier) being out at the beginning of the year. Now we have Yao out. It seems like we keep going. We're used to it."
Brooks would continued to do damage for the rest of the game. After a series of dazzling three pointers and breaks, he even made a relay in the air with less than a second left in the third quarter.
Los Angeles scored 33 points in the fourth quarter but couldn't do enough to beat the Rockets. The hosts took the game 99-87 and leveled the series at 2-all. After the match, Yao Ming talked about the game and his injury.
