He also thanked the medical team there, and mentioned the need for timely treatment over the flu.
And he urged effective prevention within the medical team to avoid cross infection, which happened during the SARS outbreak in 2003.
The Premier also went to China's Disease Control and Prevention Center to see the work there. Wen Jiabao listed the major tasks needed to deal with the disease.
He demanded stronger border checks to keep the disease from entering the country, and a higher role of disease inspection inside the country. He also pushed for progress over the study of anti-virus drugs and vaccines, and for an expanding production of disease prevention resources.
