Several hundred angry workers took part in a march and set tires on fire in front of the old French stock exchange building. The German company has planned to close the French plant at Clairoix.
Its workers are protesting ahead of a meeting scheduled for Tuesday in Frankfurt where decisions on compensation for employees will be made.
The workers want a new meeting between management, the unions and the French government.
