Southern China's Guangdong Province has reported its second confirmed case of A/H1N1 flu, bringing the total number of cases on the Chinese mainland to 13.
The Ministry of Health says this latest case in Guangdong is a 62-year-old Chinese man who recently returned from the US.
He is now in quarantine and in stable condition. Among the 13 confirmed cases, five patients have been discharged from hospital.
Meanwhile, two new cases were confirmed in Hong Kong on Wednesday, taking the number of confirmed cases in the city to 12.
In Taiwan, the number of cases stands at nine. Taiwan health authorities said all the patients show mild symptoms, and the second infected patient has been discharged from hospital.
