Shanxi province in north China boasts a rich traditional culture. Folk artists from different genres have shown the charm of China's intangible heritage ahead of the fourth China's Cultural Heritage Day on Saturday.
The exhibition of the traditional art is the highlight of a series of events in Shanxi province to protect the intangible heritage. Folk artists from across Shanxi province will display the charm of China's traditional art. They've moved their studios from their hometowns in mountains and villages to the event in Taiyuan, the capital of the province to cater to the curiosity of the younger viewers of the old folk art.
Cao Qiang, a famous actor from the Taiyuan Song and Dance Troupe, has led a performance of distinctive Taiyuan Lotus Music at the event.
Along the Yellow River, Shanxi province is one of the cradles of Chinese civilization. It has rich and splendid resources of China's tangible and intangible heritage.
