The Mexican army has captured 25 gunmen in the northern part of the country. Witnesses say the gunmen had disguised themselves as soldiers.

The men were apprehended at a ranch in the state of Chihuahua, across from Texas, after the army received a complaint. Soldiers also seized 29 automatic rifles during the Thursday raid in Nicolas Bravo. Over the weekend, 15 people were killed in separate events in the violence-plagued border town across from El Paso, Texas. Mexico's drug violence has claimed more than 10,000 lives since 2006, when President Felipe Calderon launched his anti-drug campaign.
