The celebration for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Russia is held in Moscow, capital of Russia, June 17, 2009. Chinese President Hu Jintao and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev attended the celebration. [Rao Aimin/Xinhua]

In his speech on Wednesday, Hu Jintao described the development of the China-Russia strategic partnership as stable and healthy. He noted the total volume of bilateral trade reached 56.8 billion US dollars last year. That's an all-time high. He also says both countries are committed to promoting multilateral cooperation. President Hu also stressed that Sino-Russian ties have become an important element in maintain regional and international peace and stability.
