China's Ministry of Land and Resources is taking steps to ensure the proper use of land for key projects designed to boost domestic demand.
Vice Minister Lu Xinshe said that strengthened law enforcement had reduced illegal land activities. He said authorities would step up their supervision and inspection of land use. He said the use of satellite photos would help to detect any malpractice.
Lu Xinshe's remarks come ahead of the National Land Day on Thursday. China is the world's first country to establish a national day for land protection.
