The Second China International Muslim Costume Competition was held on August 7th in Xining, Qinghai province. Twelve teams from home and abroad participated in the contest.

The outfits showed the diversity of Islamic fashion. The team from Kazakhstan decorated their outfit with delicate patterns while the Malaysian team infused the Qipao into their colorful dress. Other outfits reflected a more modern and practical style while still retaining elements of Islamic fashion. Foreign guests praised the event for its quality and diversity. They hoped to cooperate with Chinese companies in designing fashionable Muslim clothing.
