Simon Barnett, managing director of Australian Business Forum, gave an exclusive TV interview to China.org.cn in which he expressed his views on Sino-Australia trade cooperation, the bilateral economic relations and the upcoming Australia-China Business Week 2009 in October.
Born in Melbourne Australia and educated at Monash University Victoria Simon majored in the arts specializing in film and production. He established a successful and high profile career spanning twenty years in the media industry during which he received the prestigious Mobius Award in New York for his work as a producer, director and scriptwriter.
In 2005 Simon was appointed as the managing director of Australian Business Forum and has overseen the company’s growth during which time the company has become a leader of international business conferences and forums in the Asian Pacific Region. He has been responsible for establishing close working relationships with the Australian and governments through out Asia together with Foreign Ministry, Industry associations, Institutes and chambers of commerce. He is also a member of The CEO Institute, Australian Institute of Directors and the Melbourne Cricket Club.
