As the coach of the Sophomores at the Rookie challenge at the NBA All-stars 2009, Howard got his job started quickly. The Orlando Magic center and the leader in rebounds from last season shared some tips for grabbing rebounds with players.
Meanwhile, Rose gave a lesson on how to dribble through the defense. Former Los Angles Lakers guard Sun Yue also joined him to train the players.
After the warm-ups and tactical drills, it was time for the practice game.
Finally, the patient fans got what they wanted when Howard and Rose geared up to join the teams for some real action. The stars then entertained the fans with their skills. Of course, former NBA slam dunk champion, Dwight "superman" Howard had the most applause for his thunderous dunk.
Howard and Rose will lead the teams again in the final of the summer league on Tuesday night.
