China's Ministry of Commerce has begun an investigation into complaints that some automotive and poultry products from the United States are being imported into the country unfairly.
In a statement posted Sunday on its website, the ministry said it has received complaints from local industries that some imports of those products are being dumped on the Chinese market. It added that some might also be benefiting from subsidies, impacting China's industries.
The Ministry says China has consistently opposed trade protectionism, and the country's actions since the financial crisis has reflected this stance. China will continue to act in accordance with countries around the world to push forward the world's economic recovery.
