California, the most earthquake prone state in the US, has staged a drill to educate the public and rescuers to prepare for, survive, and deal with a major quake.
It was a bloody scene at Los Angeles's University of Southern California, but these are not real victims. They're actors helping people to get an idea of what to expect immediately after a major quake.
Not just adults had a lesson. Children were given a ride in an earthquake simulator, made to look like an average classroom, to understand the physical power of a quake.
Organizers hope that if the children know about earthquake safety, they can help educate their parents.
