China's biggest air convention has opened in northwest Shaanxi Province. More than 80 aircraft from home and abroad are on display at the three-day gathering in Pucheng County. An eye catching display in the sky quickly became the event's highlight.
Close to 30 companies from Canada, Europe, and the United States, as well as more than 100 domestic enterprises ... are taking part in this year's International General Aviation Convention. In addition to an aerial equipment exposition, the function will feature a summit forum, project releases, and multifaceted discussions.
Stealing the spotlight at this year's convention is Saturday's aerobatics show. World famous general aviation aircraft firms like Cessna and Cirrus participated in the proceedings. One team from Sweden performed spectacular stunts that included rolls, loops, and sky dancing for the enthralled audience.
Mi-8 multi-use helicopters and China's own J-10 jet fighter participated the show as well. The J-10 is a versatile flying vehicle capable of all-weather, day and night operations. The nation's home-developed small, piston-powered aircraft boasts outstanding effectiveness. The Little Eagle 500 trainer, meanwhile, is China's latest research development.
The term general aviation means all air activities except military and police actions, anti-smuggling Customs campaigns, and public transportation. China currently has fewer than a thousand general aviation aircraft while, in the United States, the number is 220-thousand. It is expected that general aviation aircraft will became a big market due to China's rapid economic development.
