The Michael Jackson documentary "This Is It" makes its global debut on Tuesday night, and will run for two weeks.
The film was made from rehearsal and backstage footage of "The King of Pop" preparing for a planned series of 50 concerts in London. Less than three weeks before the first show, and with tickets sold out, Jackson died after suffering cardiac arrest.
A 12-minute preview for the media reportedly shows the superstar working very hard on some of his biggest hits. The show's music supervisor recalls Jackson's lofty goal of trying to capture all of his music in one show.
Michael Bearden, musical director of "This Is It" concerts, said, "Yeah, he did get tired. I mean, we all got tired. We had tremendously long days. He's a father, you know, three young kids that he's gotta chase after and he would play with. And then he was working on his album. And then creating this Thriller anniversary special for Halloween. And then working on the next project. He was always multi-tasking.
And then going to celebrate his mother's birthday. He was just busy. He had a lot going on, as he always did."
