Hannover 96 and Germany goalkeeper Robert Enke is dead. Enke died on Tuesday after he was hit by a train in what police suspect was a suicide.

After Hannover 96 president Martin Kind confirmed Robert Enke's death, German police released a statement saying a man had been fatally injured after being hit by a train. Police say early indications suggest it was the 32-year-old Enke and that he had taken his own life.
Enke and his wife lost their two-year-old daughter to a heart ailment in 2006, although the couple have since adopted an eight-month-old daughter.
Kind revealed that Enke had been unstable recently, but that it had not been publicly noticed.
Enke played his last match in the German Bundesliga on Sunday and had been expected to be selected to Germany's squad for next year's World Cup finals in South Africa.
