An Australian bomb sniffing dog has been found safe after missing for almost 14 months. Her return has brought joy to her former soldiers.
Sabi, a bomb sniffing dog, was assigned to the Australian army in Afghanistan.
She went missing after a joint Australian-Afghan army patrol was ambushed by militants in Uruzgan province.
Nine people were injured, including Sabi's handler.
Australian forces had attempted to find out what happened but found no answer.
All that changed on Thursday, after an Australian defense official said Sabi was found by a US soldier.
Initial veterinary checks indicate that she's in good health.
