China wrap up 4 swimming golds in EAG

Staying with the East Asian Games, and a clean split of the 8 swimming golds on Monday between China and Japan. This is an interesting split, as China won all 4 women's events, while Japan, won all 4 men's events.

 

China took the gold of women's 200m individual medley through Liu Jing, who beat Tomoyo Fukuda of Japan by 0.05 seconds.

Gao Chang and Zhao Jing finished one-two in the women's 50m backstroke final, clocking 27.43 and 27.45 respectively.

Jiao Liuyang, a butterfly specialist, finally won a gold medal at the East Asian Games, thanks to the absence of her teammate and arch-rival Liu Zige. Jiao Liuyang stormed home with 25.91 seconds in the women's 50m butterfly, beating Misaki Ago of Japan.
