Grammy Awards: Record-breaking, surprises and tributes

Beyonce went home with six statuettes.



They collected "record of the year" with their pop-radio hit "Use Somebody".

Caleb Followill, lead singer of Kings of Leon, said, "I'm not going to lie, we're all a little drunk. But we're happy drunks."

The glitzy music feast also featured tributes.

The first, to Michael Jackson, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Two of his children, Prince and Paris, accepted the honor on his behalf.

Five singers, including Celine Dion, performed Jackson's Earth Song.

The audience watched a 3D film, which was supposed to be part of Jackson's "This Is It" concert series.

The second, to Haiti. Wyclef Jean took the stage in honor of his home country.

A rendition of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" followed.
