World Expo souvenirs make good holiday gifts

The souvenirs for the upcoming Shanghai World Expo are on offer in Beijing. A franchise store is located on Wangfujing street, where the Expo mascot, Haibao, is there to welcome patrons from far and wide.

The cute toy who can introduce himself and sing songs is "Haibao", the Shanghai World Expo mascot. It's also the star piece of merchandise at the newly opened franchise store on Wangfujing street.
Five thousand different expo souvenirs are on sale. There are gold badges, jade pieces, silver accessories, and a miniature of the China Pavilion.
Wang Xiaohong, store manager, said, Now we have twenty categories of merchandise being sold, that number will rise to thirty, and the items will reach 10-thousand in three months before the expo's opening.
