General Motors has announced the recall of 1.3 million vehicles in North America for a power-steering problem.
The American car maker said on Tuesday the defect with its Chevrolet Cobalt model has been linked to 14 crashes and one injury.
US safety regulators opened an investigation into about 900-thousand vehicles after receiving more than a thousand complaints of power steering failures.
GM said the affected vehicles can still be "safely controlled". The company added it is working on a solution to the problem and will notify customers when the plan is finalized.
