Toyota key problem: same key opens diffrent cars

Two different cars can be opened by the same key... this problem is confusing Toyota car owners in China. Let's find out what happened.
Mr. Li and Mr. Yang in southern China's Dongguan city respect and trust Toyota's name. One of the friends bought a Corolla the other a Vios. They happened to find out they can open each other's car with their own keys.
But after reporting the problem to the Toyota lot which sold them the cars, the dealership could not reach an agreement with them.
So the two angry customers parked their cars at a March 15th Consumer Rights Consulting Campaign site in the city and demonstrated the problem to the public. Very quickly, they received a call from the dealership.
Manager of Toyota sales company, Dongguan, Guangdong Province, said, "I can come and take a look. But you have to move the cars from that public place."
The lot manager says he will use legal ways to solve the problem. The two car owners say they will also seek legal means for a resolution if Toyota does not provide them a suitable explanation.
