Bruce Lee's wife and daughter opened an exhibition of the late kung fu star's personal items on Tuesday. The collection of photos and movie posters is being displayed in Hong Kong to mark what would have been his 70th birthday this November.

The exhibit, which includes a boxing head guard and a pair of sunglasses used by Lee, is part of a tribute to the late actor at the 34th Hong Kong International Film Festival.

The festival is also hosting a seminar on his work this Sunday and screening nine of his movies.

Lee became a chest-thumping source of Chinese pride by portraying characters that defended the Chinese and the working class from oppressors in films like "Return of the Dragon."

He died in Hong Kong in 1973 at age 32 from swelling of the brain.

Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee Keasler, said she is working to get a variety of projects about her father off the ground.

Shannon Lee Keasler, Lee's daughter, said, "You know there are number of different things in the works from animated series and films to the potential for a CG film as well, live action CG film and that would be in 3D, as well as some new biographical films, there's a Broadway musical in works. So lots of different things."

The exhibition runs for a week until next Tuesday.
