Passengers onboard a Cathay Pacific flight have endured a harrowing experience. Their plane made an emergency landing Tuesday, in Hong Kong. It was a bumpy ride as the tyres of their landing gear broke. Eight passengers were injured and rushed to hospital.

The plane was flying from Indonesia, and needed to make an unexpected landing at the airport, because of possible engine problems. The aircraft, an A330, had 309 passengers and 14 crew on board. They managed to escape through the aircraft's evacuation slides. The northern runway, where the incident occurred, was re-opened after a two hour closure.
